Herts Music Centre’s fantastic team of tutors have supported the development of hundreds of musicians of all ages, levels of experience and musical abilities, over the last decade.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, returning to playing after a long break or are looking to supplement lessons you may take elsewhere - we are sure to have the right tutor for you!

INTERESTED IN GRADED EXAMS?

Our tutors teach for both enjoyment, and grades. We sell ABRSM, Trinity, RockSchool (RSL) and LCM exam material.

Need help with recordings for remote-assessed performance grade exams? We can help with those too!

I'M NEW. WHERE DO I SIGN UP?

New students often start by booking a 30 minute introductory lesson (at £25) with one of our tutors with the view of keeping that weekly slot going forward if they decide to continue.

BOOK A PRACTICE ROOM

HOW MANY ROOMS?

HMC has 9 practice rooms available to book. They feature Yamaha Arius digital pianos with weighted keys and electric guitar/ bass amplifiers.

ANY WITH A DRUM KIT?

We have two different sized drum rooms that feature a Roland VAD506 electric drum kit each.

ARE THE ROOMS SUITABLE FOR ME?

Our practice rooms are best suited for solo/ duo practice, and are not suitable for bands. We often get people preferring to practise out of earshot of their neighbours or family members. Our rooms are also perfect for rehearsals with accompanists for music examinations, recitals, etc.

WHEN ARE THEY AVAILABLE?

Monday - Thursday 10AM - 8PM

Friday 10AM - 5PM

*Greater availability between 10AM and 3PM (outside core teaching hours)

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Practice rooms are charged at £15.00 per hour.

Bookings require pre-payment via credit/ debit card.

OUR CANCELLATION POLICY

Room bookings are non-refundable although they can be rescheduled provided we receive at least 48 hours notice.

IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT TO BOOK A ROOM?

You will have to be at least 18 years of age to book one of our rooms.

HOW DO I BOOK?

An ID and credit/ debit card are required to be held on file for all room-hire customers.
